Member of the Parent Organization	MHA Membership Membership is an essential source of funding for the Mental Health Association. Members receive newsletters, invitations to special events and advance notices of programs. Mostly, however, membership is simply a way to support the work and mission of the Association. Annual renewal is optional, since membership is always one year at a time. With your help, the MHA has been able to continue offering free in-house counseling services. Additionally, the MHA participated in local health fairs and sponsored Community Council Forums and workshops. ParenTalk packets were distributed to 525 new mothers in M/HC. 65 people were benefactors of Operation Santa Claus. Over 10,000 contacts were made through MHA services during 2004. The Martinsville/Henry County Mental Health Association also depends greatly upon the help of volunteers. Volunteers can be used in all areas of the association.
